With over 20 years experience designing for interactive media, we’ve developed a reputation for delivering intuitive, user-friendly solutions for some of America’s most recognized brands – brands like Sony, Marvel and PBS.
IPK started out in 1995 as Venu Interactive, one of the nation’s first web design firms. Founded by Karen Reed, an entertainment advertising Art Director, Venu Interactive designed some of the earliest online presences for Fox, Fender, Warner Bros., Disney, Sony Pictures and EarthLink Network, to name a few. In 1999, the company was acquired by EarthLink founder Sky Dayton and Disney Internet Chairman Jake Winebaum and became the product development team for their new ebusiness incubator, eCompanies. At eCompanies, our group was responsible for the launch of over 40 online ventures in less than two and a half years – roughly three new businesses per month – some of which, like Business.com and PayMyBills, grew into multimillion dollar enterprises. It was an invaluable experience and took us to the next level in becoming the company we are today.
In 2001, with the end of the tech boom, Karen and her team departed eCompanies to form IPK, a specialized user experience design group focused on helping companies strategize, design and execute their web and mobile initiatives, from standalone products to multi-level portals. With 20+ years in business, IPK’s proven process of research and analysis, iterative prototyping and user-focused design development continues to provide clients with well-vetted, sustainable solutions that resonate with their intended audience. Our services are customized to fit each client’s need and budget, from strategy development and wireframing to design, branding and execution.
IPK approaches each project as if it were our own. Clients benefit from a truly collaborative relationship with a team that literally thinks like they do. In the end, your success is our success – and we get that.
